Mother's Day is celebrated on 2nd March in the UK this year, and we have lots of lovely new ideas for Mother's Day crafts for you to start planning with the kids! Make her something that she will treasure forever...
We love handprint crafts at Activity Village. They are fun to do and give you something to treasure when your child is grown up! And of course they are great for teachers to send home with the kids too, perhaps for Mother's Day or Father's Day. We've just added some printable versions of some of the best handprint poems to the site, to make the process even quicker! Simply print out one of the poems, add a handprint or two to the bottom of the page, then mount on a piece of construction paper or card. Your child may like to add some extra embellishments -perhaps a fingerprint border or some stickers around the edges?
These cute little handprint chicks make a great Easter picture or card, quick and easy to do and very effective. And like all handprint crafts, they are a particular favorite with us because you get a great memento, too! Why not make some for grandparents this year?

Let your family know all day long how much you care by sending them some heart messages! Cut out a stack of hearts from pink, red, and white paper, write some little messages on them, and hide them in unexpected places. Put them in jacket pockets, in briefcases and satchels, in shoes, in lunch boxes, in cereal bowls, under pillows, tucked into pyjamas - you get the idea!
